Laughs4Tabitha a huge success! (November 25th, 2010)
Pre-flight ramblings (Bob Carver; November 19th, 2010)
It has been several months since our fifth Rockin4Tabitha event, and we are beginning to 'count the sleeps' before we once again head to the other side of the World to build houses for some of Cambodia's poorest families.
Our event was a great success, raising enough money for four houses. We wound up at 16 houses and eleven builders...until a couple of weeks ago, when we learned that Lush Homemade Cosmetics had chosen our build to support through their 'Charity Pot' program. To say we were excited when we heard the news would be a bit of an understatement.
Not only did Lush give us financial support to the tune of $10,000 USD, they are also going to sponsor five of their employees to accompany us on the build.
Thanks to our loyal supporters and Lush we will be building a record 25 houses! Nearly as many as our first three builds combined!

Wendy and I both knew after our first build in 2007 that we would try and keep returning each year, until we weren't physically capable of doing it anymore. Luckily that time seems to be far in the future.
Tell all your friends about Lush and their charity pot which will sport our rockin4tabitha logo. What a great way to support our work! (and pick up a great gift at the same time). Lush Charity Pot hand and body lotion ($20 + tax) is an organic, fair-trade product. 100% of the sales (excluding taxes) go towards the designated charities. Rockin4Tabitha Charity Pots will be available in Lush stores across the country starting in December.
We all rendezvous in Phnom Penh on January 28th, where we will get together for orientation and a couple of days in Phnom Penh before heading north to Pursat for our build.
Keep your eyes peeled for updates from the field starting late January 2011.
